Jenise Justice Brown is a Life Coach, best-selling author, award-winning community strategist, Chief Creative Officer of Jenise Incorporated, and purpose-driven entrepreneur, who is making an enduring impact on hearts and minds worldwide.
From Insecure Fat Kid to Your Results Coach I’ve always been curious about everything. From an early age, I was the kid who constantly asked “why,” even when adults didn’t have answers. By the time I was 13, I was already helping friends and adults work through their own struggles, intuitively offering guidance and solutions. But my own path wasn’t without obstacles. I struggled with my weight from a young age, and that struggle impacted my confidence and self-worth. Learning to love and accept myself, while working through insecurities and limiting beliefs, was a long journey—one that shaped my approach to coaching. It also led me to becoming a personal trainer and wellness expert. Coaching That Focuses on You As a life coach, I work with clients from all walks of life who are ready to take their lives to the next level but feel held back by self-doubt, fear, or uncertainty. I help them clear away the mental and emotional barriers that keep them from reaching their goals, whether those goals are personal, professional, or both.My approach is holistic, addressing the mind, body, and soul. I believe real transformation happens when we look at the whole person and help them align their actions with their true purpose. Whether it’s guiding someone through a career change, helping them build confidence, or supporting them in navigating identity and self-acceptance, I focus on creating lasting results. Education and Mentorships I’ve always believed in continuous learning and growth, which is why I pursued a degree in journalism to explore how media could be used as a tool for change. Through that journey, I realized my passion extended far beyond storytelling—I wanted to be directly involved in helping people change their lives. Over the years, I’ve had the honor of learning from some of the best mentors in the world of personal development and coaching. I’ve studied under leaders like Iyanla Vanzant, Marrianne Williamson, Les Brown, Tony Robbins, Lisa Sassevich, Marcia Weider, and Abraham Hicks. As well as studying the works and writings of leading activist and scholars such as bell Hooks, June Jordan, Pauli Murray and Paulo Freire. These mentorships have shaped my understanding of human potential and provided me with a deep well of knowledge that I now share with my clients. In 2011, I attended Dream University under the guidance of Marcia Weider, where I became certified as a Dream Coach and Purpose Hunter. That experience solidified my training and gave me the tools to help people uncover their purpose and create actionable steps toward achieving their dreams. My education, combined with these transformative mentorships, has allowed me to build a coaching practice rooted in both compassion and results. My Personal Experience Enhances My Coaching As someone who has navigated the complexities of identity, body image, and self-acceptance, I bring empathy and understanding to every client interaction. Being a bisexual African American woman, I’ve had to overcome societal pressures and learn to fully embrace who I am. These experiences give me a unique perspective when working with clients, especially those struggling with identity or confidence issues. While my identity informs my understanding, the focus in my coaching is always on my clients—their goals, their dreams, and their unique challenges. I’m here to help you break free from limiting beliefs and step fully into your potential. Creativity and Expression as Tools for Empowerment In addition to coaching, I’ve always had a passion for creativity and storytelling. I studied screenwriting and filmmaking at the Hollywood Film Institute, and my creative work has been featured at festivals like the Afrikana Independent Film Festival. I use creative expression as a way to help clients view their challenges from a different perspective, whether through storytelling, workshops, or personal sessions. One of the projects I’m most proud of is the Love Locked Down Theater Project, a traveling stage play that blends activism with personal empowerment. It’s been a powerful way to explore the intersections of race, gender, and identity while helping people connect with their own journeys of growth and change. Writing and Advocacy Writing is another way I’ve been able to reach broader audiences and offer tools for transformation. My work often centers on identity, social justice, and self-love. Some of my published works include: Activism: The Moving Target, Bi Women Quarterly (2021) Contributor, 40 Faces 40 Years, Virginia Poverty Law Center Journal (2018) Featured Writer, Say It Loud, VA Pride Guide, Summer Edition (2017) Ask the Bisexual: Incomplete Guide to Identifying Bisexuals (2014) DownLow Sister OnTop: Celebrating the African-American Bisexual Woman (2014, 2023) Through my writing, I share insights and strategies for personal growth and social change, helping others break free from societal limitations and embrace their full potential.I’ve walked this path myself, and now I’m here to guide you through yours. Whether you’re looking to grow in your career, improve your health, or simply find your purpose, I’m here to help you break free from whatever is holding you back and live the life you deserve.

MY PHILOSOPHY
I believe that every challenge is an invitation to grow, not just in who we are but in how we love, how we live, and how we serve. My mission is to help you turn uncertainty into clarity, fear into courage, and obstacles into opportunities for a life filled with purpose and joy.
Like you, I’ve had my share of ups and downs. The thing I’ve learned along the way is that our struggles often bring us closer to our true selves. I’ve seen the power of transformation—how moments of doubt can evolve into moments of profound discovery. As a coach, I’m not here to “fix” you because you’re not broken.
I’m here to help you find the wisdom that already lives within you, guiding you toward a life where you feel whole, alive, and aligned with your deepest values. Together, we’ll turn life’s questions into powerful answers that propel you forward.
